Letter To The Investor
Dear Investor,
That quote by Adam Grant has been ringing in my head all week.
It’s from Originals, the book I’ve been reflecting on for Project Origin. And I chose it because it cuts right to the truth of what I’ve seen in lending, in investing, and honestly, in life.
Everyone says they want original deals. Better returns. Off-market plays. But few are willing to actually move differently. To structure a deal that breaks the norm. To trust their read on a property before it becomes obvious. To stop waiting for someone else to validate their instincts.
In lending, the best deals don’t reward the most cautious, they reward the most prepared. The ones who know the rules, understand the tradeoffs, and can move when the moment hits. That’s how I underwrite. That’s how we build relationships. And that’s what I want this newsletter to reflect, week after week.
Because every week, there is signal through the noise. And this week’s issue is no exception.
